Kelly has been an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Communication Studies program since 2015. She teaches undergraduate courses on professional, relational, family, and gender communication, as well as the senior capstone research seminar. She researches communication within and about families, particularly conversations about parenting, work, and diversity. Kelly has served as a UCAWGE executive member since 2019.
